Perrott recorded another 4 senior victories over the weekend.
On Saturday the 1st XI travelled to Wembdon and restricted the hosts to 168 all out. Perrott gave an under par performance in the field with plenty to work on including cutting out 39 extras the top score for the home side. Gordon Whorlow took 4-32 and Lorraine Szczepanski 3-30 as spin was order of the day. Perrott paced their reply with Whorlow again leading the way with 71 NO, George Retter 36 and skipper Jake Symes 38NO as they passed Wembdon's score for just 2 wickets down.
2nd XI hosted Crewkerne in a local derby. Crewkerne elected to bat first and managed 133-9 in their 45 overs. Rick Hyett lead by example with 5-21 and senior partner Mark Downing took 2-19. Perrott made hard work of passing the score and were indebted to Jason Bradley 42 and Jonny Ireland 29, finally getting there in the 42nd over with 4 wickets in hand.
3rd XI had an exciting game against Castle Cary 2's. Batting first Perrott were struggling until Luke Jackson came in at 9 to score 33 quick runs and take the total to 125 all out. A good spell of bowling from U13's Tegan Furner 3-27 and support from the more experienced players Alistair Hayton, Rob Meech and Luke Jackson 2 wickets each meant Cary kept losing wickets on a regular basis. In the end they were all out for 116 and victory for Perrott in good tight game of cricket.
Sunday saw Perrott return to Wembdon for the National Village Cup game. Batting first Perrott scored 207-5 in 40 overs with George Retter 51,Lewis Hunt 46NO and George Johnson 68NO top scorers. Johnson then lead the way with the ball taking 3-20 and supported by young Max Dicker 3-35 and not quite so young Mark Downing 2-40 as Wembdon were all out for 177.
