Perrott 2's secured the 40 points required over the weekend to ensure they are crowned champions of SCL Division 4 and make it a double champions league season for the club.
On Saturday they travelled to Ilton and soon had the home side in trouble with spinner Max Dicker opening the bowling taking 4-32. Sam Rowswell 3-32 and George Johnson 2-7 also on fine form and the home side were all out for 154. Although Perrott lost opener Nick Taylor, Jessie Meaker 53NO and George Johnson 49NO showed little mercy as they took Perrott to victory and 35 points.
The 1st XI at home to Uphill elected to bat and Gordon Whorlow set his sights on a big score from the outset. He ended on 135NO to take him past 800 WEPL runs for the season. With Jonny Ireland making 50 at number 3 and George Retter 52NO Perrott set an imposing 279-3.
Uphill to their credit were always up with the run rate as injuries started to take there toll on Perrott. However the late introduction of Whorlow who ended with 4-54 slowed things and the visitors ended on 263-9.There was a wicket each for Jack Henderson,Lorraine Szczepanski,Alex Eckland and George Retter.
Sunday saw the 2's travel to Huntspill in search of the 5 point for the league title. Batting first George Johnson ensured this was done without any drama as he scored 112NO and with good contributions from Sam Rowswell 52,Joseph Eckland 39 and Pete Ireland 36 Perrott totalled 273-7
Huntspill took a liking to the Perrott bowling to score 277-4 in 33 overs with a wicket each for Mark Downing,Sam Rowswell,Hugo Hammond and Rick Hyett. However Perrott were happy to ensure the title was safely in their grasp at the season's end to match their 1st XI team mates.
